NFDI Consortia - a summary
Funded by the federal and state governments, the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) is a nationwide distributed competence and infrastructure network, intended to support the provision, development, availability and reproducibility of research data in science. In three separate rounds of calls, a total of 27 consortia from different scientific disciplines received funding. In the coming years, these consortia will not only develop binding standards for research data and scientific workflows, but will also provide various services, tools and platforms. The goal of the NFDI consortia is to enable a more fair, open and collaborative handling of research data.
